Sanskrit is one of the oldest languages that date back as far as 1500 BCE. Sanskrit is written in the Devanagri script. You usually find Sanskrit being used in hymns and mantras. Sanskrit is known as “refined speech” – thus is being encouraged by a number of schools and colleges. It is considered to be very impressive if somebody can fluently converse in Sanskrit.
